Liturgy Team

This team enjoys finding creative ways to express our faith in worship. We design and create banners, find fabulous fabrics for the communion table, and put together unique worship services. On the right is a picture of a Christmas Eve service, for example.

Learning Team

This team is responsible for the educational needs of our congregation. We organize our educational program around small groups which generally meet in members' homes through the week.  We have an ongoing  Bible Study  which meets every other week studying the New Testament in Chronological Order.  Currently there is also a study group on  Talking Faith  and a  Multimedia Scripture group which meets occasionally.  In the past we have had courses on such topics as Developing Deeper Discipleship and on  Progressive Christianity.

 

Love Response Team

Stewardship opportunities for giving and service are presented by this team. Week of Compassion and Souper Bowl Sunday are included as our attention is focused on the needs of our world and community. We support the work of the Disciples of Christ around the world through Basic Mission Finance and Special Day Offerings.  Interfaith Hospitality Network is one way our congregation reaches out to homeless families in the community.

Leisure Team

Potlucks and picnics and parties. OH, MY! This team organizes our fellowship times. Highlights include Summer Worship in the Park, Church in Portola Valley, Thanksgiving Family Potluck, Christmas Party, and Tacos for Tijuana.
